Rubicon Online gets most of its clicks on stories from social media. There is a stark difference between the number of views on articles that have engaging social media and the number of views on an article that isn’t posted. Most of our views come from Instagram because if someone recognizes someone in a photo, they’ll click on the link and read the article. We get some views from Twitter, but unfortunately, we don’t have as large of a following on Twitter compared to Instagram or Facebook. Facebook is how we connect with parents and alumni who love reading feature stories on their favorite teachers and supporting sports teams.
